Martinica Barrionuevo
Martinica earned her Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees in Speech-Language and Hearing in 2000 from the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Buenos Aires, graduating Cum Laude. After completing her residency and working in pediatric rehabilitation in Argentina (2003–2007), she relocated to Miami in 2008.
In 2012, Martinica partnered with Marcela to co-found My Time, Inc., a pediatric therapy center where she has since led the Speech Therapy Division.
With extensive experience in evaluating, diagnosing, and treating children with speech, language, and communication disorders, Martinica brings a deep expertise to her practice. Her specialized knowledge spans sensory integration, autism spectrum disorders, childhood apraxia of speech, and early intervention.
Martinica is also trained in advanced therapeutic approaches, including: PROMPT Technique, Hanen Program, DIR/Floortime, Sensory Integration, Oral Placement Therapy
Her dedication to innovation and individualized care has helped countless children improve their communication skills and achieve developmental milestones.
Marcela Teran
Marcela earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Therapy in 2004 from Universidad del Rosario in Bogotá, Colombia. Fully bilingual in Spanish and English, she has dedicated over 18 years to working exclusively with the pediatric population.
Her expertise includes specialty training in Sensory Integration, Neuronet, Therapeutic Listening, and Feeding Disorders, among other advanced techniques. Marcela has a strong focus on treating children on the Autism Spectrum and brings extensive experience in supporting children with ADD, ADHD, and general learning disabilities.
As the co-founder of My Time, Inc., alongside Martinica Barrionuevo, Marcela has been instrumental in building a thriving practice that has grown to a team of over 15 dedicated professionals. Together, they have helped hundreds of children and families achieve meaningful progress.
Now serving as the center’s director and team leader, Marcela takes pride in fostering a supportive and collaborative environment. She considers her team an extension of her family and is deeply committed to empowering them to deliver the highest quality care.
